Super Appleman was a guest at Anamoose Drake Elementary yesterday! He brought the energy and discussed the importance of eating fruits and vegetables, getting plenty of exercise, and being a kind person.

Picture retakes will be Thursday, October 10. Packets MUST be returned at the time of retakes and the same package will be printed with the retake picture. No pictures will be printed until the old picture packet is received. The FFA students are ready for the ND Fall Leadership Conference taking place this weekend!
A big thank you to the Anamoose Civic Club and the Anamoose Area Community Foundation for the grants we recieved to update the high school library with comfortable funiture, paint, decor, and signage. The Civic Club grant was received in the fall of 2021 and the Area Community Foundation grant was received in the fall of 2023. Here are before and after pictures.

The NDHSAA Board of Directors approved a Class A Review recommendation to add a minimum penalty for spectators who are ejected from contests during the regular season.
Any attendee ejected from a regular season or NDHSAA tournament contest will incur a minimum three (3) game/event suspension from that team’s games/events and all other NDHSAA games/events in the interim at any level of competition. If the ejection occurs with fewer than three (3) games/events remaining in the team’s season, the suspension will carry over to the school’s sports season which immediately follows. An attendee ejected for a second time during a school year shall be suspended for a minimum of one (1) calendar year from all NDHSAA regular and postseason events. NDHSAA member schools may increase these minimum penalties at their discretion.

Today's JH football game in Washburn has been postponed until Thursday, September 12th. Game will be played in Washburn and start at 6 on Thursday.
Today JH football players will practice in Velva.
‼️Friendly reminder! Tomorrow (Wednesday) is our first scheduled early out for teacher professional development. Shuttle buses will run at 1:30, with rural buses leaving roughly around 1:45.‼️
Can you say YUMMY?!😋 Friday's lunch was a hit at the elementary school! It was made with lots of locally grown products!!!
School garden items include:
Baked potatoes
Broccoli
Tomatoes and onions for the chili
Cucumber salad
Zucchini, summer squash and raspberries for the chocolate cake
Pickled Banana Peppers, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and carrots in the salad bar
And locally grown beef from the Bruner Angus Ranch for the chili and taco meat.
Not locally grown but we take great pride in it, is our fresh baked bread from scratch!!
