Our 4th Graders traveled to Manfred on Wednesday to take in some history. They came back with some neat stories and souvenirs.
There is blood drive at city hall tomorrow. There are still openings from 12:45 to 1:45. If interested, please call the school and ask for Mrs. Birdsell. 465-3732.
Today's cross country meet has been rescheduled until Tuesday, Sept. 12 due to air quality concerns.
Friday night's football game has been moved back to an 8:00 start.

There are some new faces over in the Elementary School, as well as some changes in positions.
Mr. Bartz is our new P.E. teacher. He also is teaching P.E. and Health over at the High School.
Mrs. Lindbo is our new 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Countess is our new paraprofessional, and Miss Loen is teaching 4th grade until Mrs. Jacobs comes back from maternity leave.
Mrs. Arnold made the move to Kindergarten and Mrs. Bromley is now the Elementary Principal.

Attention Football Schedule update
Jr. High football practice begins on Monday, August 14. Bus will leave Anamoose at 2:00 Drake at 2:15. Will travel with varsity.
Cross Country practice also starts on Monday. Bus will leave Drake at 8:30.

Attention Elementary Boys' Basketball Parents- Elementary boys' basketball will be starting practice August 21, 2023, after school at the Anamoose School. Please make sure your child has a sports physical turned into the school office prior to practice. Your child will NOT be allowed to practice without a sports physical.
Back to School Open House at the Anamoose Drake Elementary will be Monday, August 14 from 7-8pm! Students can bring their school supplies and meet their new teacher! We look forward to seeing you there!

August 1st- 9am-3pm for grades 9-10

August 3rd- 9am-1pm for anyone that was unable to make it on the 1st or 2nd.
7th and 8th graders registered in the Spring and are not required to register again. However, they are more than welcome to pop in on the 3rd to get a copy of, or make changes to, their schedule, and get their locker number.
