Dear Parents and Guardians,
As part of our continued commitment to transparency, we’re providing an important update regarding the PowerSchool cybersecurity incident that occurred in December 2024.
PowerSchool has recently informed us that the individual(s) believed to be responsible for the incident have attempted to contact school districts in other states, pressuring recipients for payment using data obtained during the breach. If you receive a message of this nature, do not respond. Instead, please report it to us immediately.
We take this matter very seriously and continue to monitor the situation closely. PowerSchool is working with leading cybersecurity experts and law enforcement agencies in both the United States and Canada to thoroughly investigate and address the incident.
As a reminder, complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services are available for two years to those affected. This includes educators and current or former students from North Dakota school districts who may not have received the initial incident notification from PowerSchool.

Congratulations to Kyle Volson for state qualifying in the 110 meter hurdles on May 10. This is in addition to qualifying for the state meet in javelin earlier this season. Way to go Kyle!

Three FBLA teams presented at MSU's Business Showcase today. Evelyn Isaak and Zack Volson placed 2nd in the high school group! Congratulations!
7 members traveled to Rolla yesterday. They competed at the District 3 CDE contest in preparation for State Convention in June. They learned lots and are excited to learn more!
The Environmental and Natural Resources team took first place!
Jade was the second high individual and Mason was the third high individual.

The 4th grade students had an exciting and educational adventure as they visited the North Dakota Heritage Center in Bismarck!With beautiful spring weather on our side, the day was perfect for exploring history beyond the classroom. Students were able to see firsthand the people, places, and events we've been learning about in our North Dakota Studies unit. From fossils and Native American artifacts to pioneer life and modern developments, the exhibits truly brought our state’s history to life. It was a fun-filled day of learning, discovery, and appreciation for the story of North Dakota.
Evelyn Isaak is part of the 4 x 100m relay team that ran a state qualifying time at the CNDC Outdoor Meet on May 6. Her teammates include Chloe Cadwell, Anya Olson and Rylie Weninger. Evelyn is also part of the 4 x 400m relay team that state qulaified the same day. Her teammates for that relay include Chloe Cadwell, Lani Volochenko (not pictured) and Anya Olson. Congratulations to Evelyn and her teammates!

The 3rd graders took a trip to the Garrison Diversion today and had such a memorable experience! They learned so much and were amazed to find out that millions of fish are produced there and shipped all over North Dakota and to other states. Huge thanks to the staff for making the day so engaging and educational. What a great opportunity!
