Summer EBT is a new program to help families buy food for their school-aged children during the summer. Families will get $120 for each eligible child to buy groceries during the summer. Many automatically enrolled families received an email with a unique link to their child(ren)’s information in the North Dakota Summer EBT portal. Your child is eligible for Summer EBT if: ✓ Your household already participates in SNAP, FDPIR, TANF, OR ✓ Your child attends a school that offers the National School Lunch or School Breakfast Program, and your household income meets the requirements for federal free or reduced-price school meals. If you are not automatically enrolled and believe your children are eligible, for Summer EBT, click https://ndsummerebt.nd.gov/

It was the Region 8 Regional Speech Meet yesterday. The meet began in the later afternoon and went late into the evening. It was a full day for the students, but if they were drained from the week, they didn't show it. Here are the results: Regionals Kara—Serious (2nd) State-qualified Zack and Kara—HDD (3rd) State qualified Zack—Radio (2nd) State-qualified Mason—Extemp (3rd) State-qualified Kali—Inform (5th) Ashlynn—Persuade (2nd) State-qualified Jade—Impromptu (5th) Overall, they placed 4th as a team. Not too shabby for a small group of students from a small school. Wonderful job to each one of you!! Also, thank you to our coaches Mrs. Bartz and Mrs. Uhlich! Great job!!!

Everett, Ryder, Quincy, Ella, and Tiegan were chosen by the Minot Area Chamber EDC to compete in the National Civics Bee based on an essay they had written about problems they see in their community and how they would tackle it. They also had to explain how their solutions incorporated Founding Principles and Civic Values. Today was competition day which entailed three rounds- two of grueling questions and one with a judges panel. Everette advanced to the 3rd round of competition and qualified for STATE this summer! We are so proud of these students!! Great Job!!
