Here are the dress up days for the Elementary school and the High School next week! Instead of colors on Wednesday the High School will be doing Christmas Vacation!🎄🎅🏼🤶🏽

‼️Friendly reminder! Today (Wednesday) is our scheduled early out for teacher professional development. Shuttle buses will run at 1:30, with rural buses leaving roughly around 1:45.‼️

🏰🎄With December being a short and busy month, we held Castle Time this afternoon! This month’s theme was sportsmanship, and Mr. Fletschock spoke about the importance of being a good sport. Castles then faced off in some festive duels, including a Bernoulli principle challenge where they used a leaf blower, paint roller, and toilet paper to decorate a Christmas tree, and a relay race to see which team could finish decorating their tree first using spoons and ornaments. It was a fun way to get into the holiday spirit while practicing good sportsmanship and teamwork together.

What an amazing experience at the State Play Competition! Emily received a Superior Acting Award and Zack, fulfilling one of his duties as the NDHSAA Distinguished Student, handed out the final play awards on Day 2! State One Acts are always a blast, but we now understand why they’re scheduled just before Thanksgiving break – everyone from the 18 participating schools, both students and directors, definitely need some time to recharge! 😂.

Today was our November Castle Time at the Elementary School, and it was all about gratitude! Each of our 10 castles put together a “Thankful Basket” for a local business to show how much we appreciate everything they do for our community. The kids bundled up, grabbed their baskets, and took a walk to hand-deliver them. It was so fun to see their excitement as they said “thank you” and spread a little kindness to the people who make our community such a great place to live. While we weren’t able to include every business this time, please know how much we appreciate ALL the businesses in our communities. Your hard work and support make such a difference, and we are truly grateful for each of you! What a great way to kick off the holiday season!🦃

The 4th graders just wrapped up an exciting unit on Europe in the Middle Ages! They engaged in fun and creative projects like crafting dioramas of various medieval houses, designing “stained glass” art, and writing thoughtful reflections about the roles they’d choose in medieval society. It’s been a fantastic journey through history!
